Constant Velocity joints and driveshafts are design elements for uniform transmission of torque. Therefore, these elements permit a constant angular velocity on the input and output shafts without the need to achieve the mounting conditions required by universal joint driveshafts.
Constant Velocity, or CV drive shafts, are a unique type of driveshaft that allows for continual rotational velocity through a variable angles without a significant increase in friction or play. The design of a CV shaft provides design flexibility in applications where equal angles can not be achieved. Driveline Service of Portland stocks a large inventory of CV shafts to fit your application:
• Inboard
• Outboard
• Fixed
• Plunging
